Getting There
Located in Downtown São Paulo (Centro Histórico), reaching Tucupi no Centro is super straightforward:
By Metro: The easiest route is taking Line 3-Red or Line 1-Blue to Sé or Anhangabaú station. From either station, it is just a short, pleasant walk through the iconic streets of the historic downtown area.
By Rideshare / Taxi: Simply set your destination in Uber or 99 to Tucupi no Centro. Dropping off directly near the entrance gives you quick access to the restaurant.
The Experience & What We Ordered
We spent a wonderfully relaxed afternoon unwinding over cold drinks and incredible comfort food. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and unpretentious—the kind of place where time slows down as you enjoy good conversation and great bites.
Macaxeira Frita: Golden, crispy on the outside, and delightfully soft on the inside. Perfectly seasoned cassava fries that are impossible to stop eating.
Fried Pork Belly: Crackling, crispy skin with juicy, flavorful pork underneath. The ideal savory bite to match a cold drink.
Carne de Sol Croquettes: Deeply flavorful, slow-cooked sun-dried beef encased in a light, crispy breading—pure comfort in every bite.
To wash it all down, we kept things refreshing with 3 cold Heinekens and a Coca-Cola Zero.
Our total bill for the entire spread—including all food, drinks, service, and taxes—came out to R$ 207,90, which felt like fantastic value for such a great time in the heart of the city. If you find yourself wandering around Downtown São Paulo, make sure to pop in and grab a table!
